THE ANIMAL TEACHINGS

The nuthatch looks out while feeding.Panoramic sensing has been around since life began. This is something we were all born with which we have inadvertently suppressed.

All vulnerable animals use this sense in its pure form. Birds only need a quick panoramic glance in all directions due to their sensitivity to ultraviolet light. Cat busy focusing.

Focused attention is quite different. Domestic cats often scan their environment in the same way humans do.

For vulnerable animals, panoramic awareness is a constant reminder of how it feels to be open and safe at the same time.
