Animal Teachers

Animals taught me like the great rivers give water, the sun shines on us, and the trees give us apples – without having the purpose of teaching, without even realising they were doing it, and without ever focusing on teaching me.

This is a tradition which is taught not by teaching and leading, but proving by example. And it's worked for billions of years.

If an animal has lived through winter, they know suffering and are still hopeful and without resentment.

Privileged, fortunate, often rich and talented philosophers, gurus, poets and musicians, are special. I wish them well on their journey, but they have choices which ordinary people don't. Stop trying to teach us stuff.

Ordinary people would find life far easier if they observed wild animals and learnt first hand about panaral reality.

Leaders and Followers

Most of the people who are leading the world, have a relative amount of success with the focused approach to life.

They can cope with and to some extent control how the abstract tunnels work. They can select specific wants and hopes, dreams and desires; construct a sense of purpose, and achieve relative success.

They had talent and good fortune, they have a vastly different experience of life. Most had financial security, good parents and a good education. They are privileged and confident.

They become politicians, role models, philosophers and poets. They offer answers, hopes, promises, beliefs, security and safety.

I recently watched 15 minutes of someone very clever talking on YouTube, was very impressed by his clear thinking. But i don't want to watch anymore. Even if a million elite people learnt to think like this, it will never help everyone to find peace and satisfaction, never help balance the world.

Especially now in these modern times when self-realisation is the ultimate aim of the ego. The leaders get their confirmation merely by having followers. The followers have their herd mentality, so everyone has a confirmed abstract identity.

And then often it's not even meant as coercion or as a con-trick (not to start with – they are as blinded by focusing as everyone else). It's pefectly natural that the privileged feel everyone else who is less talented or suffering could be helped by following what they do.

But hey, don't worry, soon the privileged, rich and powerful, will all have neuralinks implanted to help guide us.

Vulnerable animals are the best leaders and teachers, they will never get egoistical about teaching us, never complicate the teaching with abstract theories, never ask us for money or obedience, and for this and more, we should honour them for keeping the teaching alive.
