THE PAHANA SYSTEMS
The Pahanal Sensory and Nervous Systems

Parent Page : The Lack of Name and Cultural Recognition

This word usage only applies to Chapter Three.

Words

I'm playing with words. First i found "the panāra". The adjective and adverb, panaral and panarally, are also easy and good. But, panoramic sensing – the central word of this site – is shortened to panaring, and the verb is to panar. Both of which i dont really like.

Then i discovered in Persian "pahna" means wide-open and "panah" means safety. This leads to "dar panah-e pahna" or "in the safety of openness".

So i played some more and i really like "pahān". It's almost the sound of how it feels. The pahana, pahanally, and pahaning also sound good.

"To pan" is a valid English word for looking all around, but the word is usually used in kitchens and for gold digging. To pahan is the obvious development.

I will let it all swim around in my subconscious for a while...

I still like "broadbanding", but can't use that for reasons mentioned in The Lack of Name and Cultural Recognition.

Further Definitions

The pahanal systems are: pahaning, the parasympathetic nervous system, and the lower brain.

Pahaning stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system. The senses of smell and taste stimulate and are governed by the lower brain.

Trained individuals will know words like hypothalamus and the autonomic and enteric nervous systems. With time, focused thought fragments, defines, and re-connects ever more specific areas. It is probably unecessary for me/us to explore any deeper.

States like empathy, intuition, creative intelligence combine pahanal and focused sensing. These are all similar to how predatory animals combine pahanal and focused sensing when hunting.
